I traveled to Oberlin, Ohio to review documents from the Eva Hesse archive at Oberlin College's Allen Art Museum. While in residence for 5 days during the end of June I read and photographed hundreds of documents that were created and owned by Hesse during her short life. I am at work on a full length play that is inspired by her life and times.

The trip allowed me the access to a trove of unpublished materials and the time to read a portion of the thousands of pages of diaries, letters and other ephemera that Oberlin has in trust for the Hesse estate. This research has been invaluable to my understanding of both Hesse's private as well as public life and is being utilized in the writing of stage play that is loosely based on events from her life and the New York art scene of the 1960's.
