Description of Facilities
Thanks to recent grant funding, the TLC now offers Faculty a separate, small but comfortable computer lab/workspace, located within the Millard Sheets Library on the Third Floor of the Ahmanson Building. Faculty are invited to use the space to prepare for classes, upload assignments to O-Space, prepare DID slide shows, work on longer projects, and experiment with instructional technologies. Technical assistance is available during most Library hours.

Please drop by anytime or make an appointment to discuss your needs.

Grants and Workshops
As well as providing a facility and resources for Faculty to work on campus, the TLC is committed to Faculty Development in the area of Innovative Technology. We will compliment the school-wide Faculty Development Grants already in existence by providing semi-annual TLC mini-grants specifically for the development of innovative teaching using technology. We awarded our first round of grants this Spring 2006. We are excited about all the projects and look forward to the results within the year. Some of the formats include Podcasts, Flash lessons, Mindmapping, and Wikis. Good luck to all! Look on the Faculty Development Page for our Tech Grant reports as they come in.

The TLC will also be offering small teach-ins and workshops for 4-7 Faculty at a time on a wide variety of subjects and interests. Look for announcements of upcoming events in Faculty email and the Workshops Page.
